I couldn't believe it when I found out...
And believe me, I'm a HUGE Dragon Ball fan...
Because I thought it would be...
I don't know...
some movie that's impossible to find anywhere...
some rare edition...
some discontinued box set...
some uncensored version...
the weird stuff we Dragon Ball collectors are always looking for...
But NOPE!
Not even close!
It was something MUCH more basic...
Something you've probably...
searched for yourself at some point
if you've been watching Dragon Ball for years.
And when you think about it, you go:
Damn, that makes PERFECT sense.
Because Dragon Ball started out pretty simple...
Until it wasn't.
First, there was Dragon Ball.
Then came Dragon Ball Z.
Alright...
so far...
EVERYTHING was fine.
But then things started getting complicated with...
movies...
TV specials...
OVAs...
And hey!
I've got nothing against them.
I LOVE them!
But then came GT...
Super...
more movies...
Daima...
Along with the feeling that this series should have...
ended 20 years ago.
Suddenly, something that used to be simple...
wasn't simple anymore!
I think it's built into human DNA...
to complicate things.
Because, alright...
now...
When am I supposed to watch the movies?
In the middle of the series?
After I finish it?
Where does the Bardock special fit in?
What about The History of Trunks?
And where does Cooler go?
Which one should I watch first...
GT or Super?
And Daima?
What about Daima?
Shouldn't Daima be watched before DBZ ends??
WHAT THE F*CKING ORDER AM I SUPPOSED TO WATCH ALL OF DRAGON BALL IN NOW?
So...
after Googling for a while...
I realized that a lot of people want to watch Dragon Ball in chronological order...
meaning...
following the timeline of events across the entire Dragon Ball universe...
And that...
is ABSOLUTE NONSENSE!!
That's like starting the series with Bardock!
It makes NO sense!!
You're ruining (spoiling) the entire mystery.
Or starting the Android Saga...
with The History of Trunks movie...
I mean!
Have we all gone CRAZY or what?
Don't believe me?... look at this ABOMINATION of an image.
When you experience a story...
whether it's Dragon Ball...
or anything else...
NOT knowing everything from the beginning...
is part of the experience.
Remember, human beings are ADDICTED to mystery...
uncertainty...
that feeling of...
WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT?!!
And besides...
by doing that...
you're completely KILLING the momentum.
Just imagine...
you watch Bardock...
and immediately after...
kid Goku...
damn...
something feels off, doesn't it?
And even if it makes chronological sense...
by the time you get to Frieza...
more than 190 episodes will have gone by...
all that momentum is GONE...
If you tell me...
I'll watch Bardock while Goku is fighting Frieza...
well, NOW that makes more sense...
doesn't it?
✓ It doesn't spoil anything ahead of time.
✓ And it adds value to the story at exactly the RIGHT moment.
And ALRIGHT!
YOU'LL SAY!
What mystery?
What the hell are you talking about?
AT LEAST!!!
But hey... one thing doesn't cancel out the other.
So yes...
I put together my own order for watching ALL of Dragon Ball.
An order that actually makes sense...
so that I...
when I WATCH IT...
can enjoy the entire experience even MORE.
If you also want to watch ALL of Dragon Ball...
without driving yourself crazy
figuring out the movies, specials and OVAs...
I've put together my own watch order.
Not in chronological order.
Not simply by release date.
But based on when it makes the most sense
to watch each part and enjoy the story.
Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, GT, Super, Daima,
movies, specials and OVAs...
Everything organized so you know
what to watch and when to watch it.
I'll send it to you by email.
If you want my watch order for ALL of Dragon Ball...
